About Dayton, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Dayton, Indiana is a small Tippecanoe County town in the Lafayette Metro Statistical Area. As of 2010, the community was home to about 1,400 residents, although the population is thought to have risen based of the 2016 estimate. Located just over seven miles outside of Lafayette, there are many big cities found within a short drive of Dayton: Indianapolis is 57 miles southeast, while Chicago is 125 miles northwest.

There aren’t any major attractions located in Dayton, but there are a few prominent businesses here. Residents may like to grab a bite to eat at Buck Creek Pizza – Dayton Station or Dayton Browny’s Pizza King. Antique lovers might also enjoy a visit to Mustard Seed to check out the local finds, and convenience stores include Circle K and the Mobil Super Pantry.

Fortunately, Dayton is a quick drive to Lafayette, which is home to many things to see and do. Golf is popular here, with courses available at the Tee Off Golf 2 Driving Range, Coyote Crossing Golf Club, and Monster Mini Golf. Many Dayton residents also make the trip if they are in need of some pampering, especially to book services at Evan Todd Salon & Day Spa in West Lafayette or Not Your Momma’s Bikini Wax & Relaxation Studio in Lafayette.

The weather in Dayton is drastically different depending on the season. During the summer, conditions are humid and hot, with average daily highs into the 80s. Most residents stay cool with an energy-efficient central air conditioner at home, especially since periodic heat waves with 90 degree temperatures are common. Most HVAC specialists recommend homeowners use the mild, wet spring season to have their cooling systems serviced.

Winter weather is just the opposite. During this season, residents will need to use their gas or electric furnace. While average daily highs are in the 30s, overnight lows typically fall below freezing. The right furnace will keep indoor conditions warm while improving air quality. This can make a major difference in comfort throughout the season.
